| In Rhône-Alpes, at the foot of the Vercors Regional Natural Park, the Diois has carefully preserved its rich natural heritage between mountains and valleys planted with pine-trees, vines, lavender and other aromatic plants and herbs. The Drôme is the first french department in terms of biological agriculture area. The Drôme river goes through the Diois up to the Rhône valley at 70 kms westward (Valence). At 40 kms southward, here is La Provence which begins with the Provencal Drôme small valleys. We are in a transition and exchanges country.
The climate gives the opportunity to practice mountain activities in winter (skiing and rackets at half an hour) and promotes the nature lovers the rest of the year owing to southern temperatures (rambling, swimming, climbing.). Spring and autumn are the favourite seasons for outings (walking, mountain biking, horse-riding).
